Revision and Self-Editing Workshop with Miranda Paul

Miranda will focus the workshop on Revision & Self-Editing Techniques – Big Picture and Line by Line. Participants should have a manuscript draft and a pitch or very short summary of their work handy — in any genre. If you don’t have a finished manuscript, you can bring a work in progress or even a solid outline.

 

FEE: $15 for members, $20 for non-members. To receive the SCBWI Member price, you MUST BE LOGGED INTO YOUR SCBWI ACCOUNT. 

 

This virtual event will be presented via Zoom Sunday, December 6, at 1:00 PM Pacific. Registration is required. Note that registration closes midnight, Tuesday, December 1, or once we reach capacity. Register below to reserve your spot! If you are an SCBWI member, please log in to your SCBWI account to register.

Miranda Paul is an award-winning author of more than a dozen fiction and nonfiction books for children. She has received starred reviews and Junior Library Guild distinction for several titles, including One Plastic Bag, Water is Water, I Am Farmer, Nine Months, and Little Libraries, Big Heroes. Her book, Whose Hands Are These? was an ILA Teacher’s Choice and her edited poetry collection, Thanku: Poems of Gratitude, was a 2020 ALA Notable title for all ages. Miranda is a frequent presenter at schools around the world, and has presented at the Library of Congress Young Readers Center with environmental activist Isatou Ceesay.
