Nonfiction That Reads Like a Novel
Narrative nonfiction for middle grade and YA readers has exploded. Teens and teachers crave it. Publishers want it. So how do you write it, and write it well? Through lively discussion, mini-lessons, and writing exercises, we will explore structure, scene, pacing, and other storytelling techniques that will turn your true stories into page-turners.
Registration fees: $25 for SCBWI members / $30 for nonmembers
Note that registration closes October 8, 2021, or once we reach capacity. All confirmed registrants will receive an email containing Zoom-access information ahead of the class. Several days after the live event, you will also receive access to a replay of the talk.
