Draw Stronger: Self-care for cartoonists and visual artists

A must-take webinar for anyone who spends long hours drawing! Cartoonist, massage therapist, and health educator, Kriota Willberg will teach self-care routines and exercises to help prevent art related repetitive stress injuries to sustain pain-free, life-long drawing practice. Be ready to participate in movement and stretching sequences in this 45 minute session. Q and A to follow.

Kriota Willberg uses her experiences as a cartoonist, illustrator, massage therapist, and health science educator to promote healthy pain-free creativity. As a massage therapist, she focuses on the treatment of orthopedic injuries and has worked with populations ranging from the New York Giants football team to patients at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center. As an artist and educator, she teaches creatives about injury prevention through panels, interviews, workshops, and her injury prevention book for cartoonists and visual artists, Draw Stronger, published by Uncivilized Books. Check out her self-care column for the Comics Beat called “Get A Grip!” On occasion she works with Adobe to explore beneficial work and creative practices. Currently she is the artist in residence in The Master Scholars Program in Humanistic Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.  For more:
