April Professional Series Meeting — Illustrator Studio Tours

Join us on April 10th as we take a virtual studio tour with Jing Jing Tsong and Sarah K. Turner! The artists will discuss their work, methods, and inspiration. There will be a Q&A session after their interviews. This meeting (and all our professional series meetings this season) is FREE, and will be hosted via Zoom.

 

 

Jing Jing Tsong is a New York Times bestselling picture book illustrator who works with a broad range of commissions. Past projects have included The National Cherry Blossom Festival, United State Postal Service Winter Fun Forever stamps and Lunar New Year posters for McDonald’s. Her work focuses on diversity and multicultural themes. Using traditional printmaking and digital collage, Jing Jing creates vibrant compositions of color, pattern and texture.

 

 

Sarah K. Turner is a 2019 graduate of the Northwest College of Art and Design. She is a freelance illustrator and designer, and a volunteer artist for several nonprofits around the United States. Sarah’s goal is to spread love, acceptance, and positivity through her work.

 

 

This FREE virtual event will be presented via Zoom Saturday, April 10, at 10:00 AM Pacific. Registration is required. Note that registration closes midnight, Thursday, April 8, or once we reach capacity. Register now to reserve your spot! If you are an SCBWI member, please log in to your SCBWI account to register.
